"When generativity, creativity, generosity, and the capacity to embrace life dry up, the Water of Life has gone underground. At such times, the earth becomes arid, life becomes devoid of meaning, the ground of culture cracks and splits, and gaps develop among peoples and between people and nature. Only water can bring the pieces back together, awaken seeds hidden in the ground, and enliven the parched Tree of Life."
- Michael J. Meade, Men and the Water of Life: Initiation and the Tempering of Men (1994)
"...the simplest, most direct answer to the question of how do we make our society stronger. Whether your working for the environment, health, or education, it doesn't matter so much as long as you're working at it. The great resource of any country is the energy and intelligence of its people. That's where the investment of money and thought ought to go..."

1.Whoever is there are the right people.
Everybody has his or her role in the story.
2. Whatever happens is the right thing to happen.
Everything happens for a reason and is there to help us gain more insight.
3. Whenever it starts, it starts.
Magic has its own timing.
It might already start weeks before the [experience/conference] happens.
4. Whenever it stops, it stops.
Don’t linger on, when the feeling is too good, nor stay when things that don’t work.
Follow the flow.
5. Follow the law of the two feet.
Keep your own responsibility.
You can leave an [experience/workshop] if it doesn’t suit you.
6. Be prepared to be surprised.
The soul always leads us to our highest good, but it might be an unexpected journey.

"The Map Is Not The Territory," 2002-2006

"We say the map is different from the territory.
But what is the territory?
Operationally, somebody went out with a retina or a measuring stick
and made representations which were then put on paper.
What is on the paper map is a representation of what was in
the retinal representation of the man who made the map;
and as you push the question back,
what you find is an infinite regress, an infinite series of maps.
The territory never gets in at all. […]
Always, the process of representation will filter it out so that
the mental world is only maps of maps, ad infinitum."
